Camp Cove Beach Haven is a private, secluded escape for families, situated in historic Watsons Bay at the South Head entrance to Sydney Harbour. As you roll up into the driveway the lush coastal garden gives you a glimpse of the fun and relaxation that awaits, while the charm of the art-deco exterior amplifies the irresistible glitz of Camp Cove Beach Haven. Curved walls are a feature throughout including in the fully equipped kitchen. Also on the ground floor, you’ll find ample room for the family to come together and intimate spaces for time alone. A light-filled living area caters to every guest while the dining area invites you to settle in for a good meal and conversation.
The roof top main bedroom delivers the ultimate sanctuary. You have the luxury of a king bed, ensuite with bath and shower, and you can even enjoy the smell of the ocean on your own private roof deck with outside shower. The luxury doesn’t end in the main bedroom as you have four further bedrooms to choose from; a queen bed with stunning ensuite, a queen bedroom with garden views and two further bedrooms that offer plenty of space and privacy. There’s also the convenience of a family bathroom.
You’ll want to begin your day outside, whether it’s breakfast or brunch. The outdoor table offers seating for up to 12 guests, or if you’d prefer to zone out, sink into the Moroccan day bed, and when it’s time to eat, the outdoor pizza oven is waiting. If you opt to spend the day at the beach, you have access to a kayak, surf ski and stand up paddle board. On your return, simply wash off under the outside beach shower and head inside for a relaxing evening.
The Area
Camp Cove Beach Haven enjoys the ideal location. You’re just a one-minute walk across from Camp Cove Beach and within walking distance to South Head National Park, bush tracks and historic Watsons Bay village, so you’re close to local cafes and restaurants. The house backs onto a reserve. The closest bus stop is around a 10-minute walk giving you easy access to Bondi Beach, the city, while a car trip to the CBD will take around 30 minutes. If you want to see more of the harbour, Watsons Bay Wharf is a quick walk so you can catch a ferry to the city, Taronga Zoo or even across to Manly.
