## About this villa
Koonya Wye River, Wye River
Reborn from the ashes. We are proud to present Koonya Wye River, mark two—a triumphant architectural reimagining of a beloved retreat, now reborn as a bold, eco-conscious sanctuary among the treetops.
This brand new, architect-designed beach house in Wye River is a true expression of contemporary Australian design. Clad in a striking chevron pattern across three tones of fire-resistant Equitone, its angular, elevated silhouette floats above the lush hillside, drawing in both the coastal breeze and the tranquillity of the Otway bushland. Set across two generous balconies and an expansive open-plan interior, Koonya Wye River offers a seamless blend of design, sustainability, and luxury.
The main living zone is both stylish and welcoming, framed by floor-to-ceiling double-glazed windows that capture views across the treetops to the sea beyond. Finished in wood-grained Italian porcelain tiles and eclectically furnished, the space exudes personality and comfort—from the custom Punjabi teak dining table and oversized bean bag to the sculptural lounge chairs and a B&B Italia modular sofa perfect for long afternoon naps or evening conversation by the fire.
During the cooler months, a wood-burning stove creates a warm, intimate atmosphere, while ceiling fans and a split-system air conditioner keep the space breezy and fresh throughout summer. The southern balcony faces the beach and is ideal for soaking in the view, while the secluded western deck is a suntrap, ideal for long lunches or relaxed dinners around the large outdoor table and Weber BBQ.
The chef-designed kitchen is equally refined, practical, and well-appointed. With high-end appliances including a Smeg gas cooktop and oven, Smeg dishwasher, espresso machine, and a thoughtfully curated selection of utensils, cookware, and serving ware, it’s a dream for those who love to cook and entertain. You’ll even find a mortar and pestle and a selection of herbs and spices to elevate your meals.
Music lovers will delight in the vintage 1972 Technics turntable and curated vinyl collection, while modern conveniences like a Bluetooth stereo amplifier, Blu-ray player with USB, and flat-screen TV ensure you can unwind your way.
