Take a moment or perhaps an entire afternoon basking in the views over one of Australia’s most picturesque beaches. Situated only a short stroll from the beach and cafes in an exclusive Byron Bay enclave, Wategos Beach House is a harmonious combination of warm, modern design elements and trendy beach cottage charm. From the light-filled living room to the two bedrooms and multiple outdoor living spaces, the peaceful ocean and hinterland surrounds are on show throughout this two-storey home.
Sunrises are extraordinary from the elevated position of Wategaos Beach House. The trendy brick exterior, white accents, sub-tropical surrounds and sweeping views across Wategos Beach create a memorable first impression. Before retreating indoors, take a stroll around the property and explore the sub-tropical gardens. Shaded seating options allow you to make the most of the elevated location and you also have an outdoor shower. While the casual entertaining area - complete with BBQ - is a peaceful space for a lazy lunch.
When you’re ready to get settled in, simply make your way up a short flight of exterior stairs. It’s here you’ll discover a spacious deck where you will want to stop for a moment and soak up those ocean views. Once inside, the calming Scandi coastal style will put you at ease. The outlook is not lost in the bright, modern and sunny open plan kitchen, dining and living area. The kitchen is a welcoming space featuring timber benchtops and white cabinetry. While a round dining table invites laid back meals and relaxed conversation. In the living room it’s all about relaxation and enjoying the bushland and water surrounds. Of course, outdoor dining is always encouraged and with space on the deck for meals with a view, it’s sure to be a popular option. There’s also an inviting seating area that can be enjoyed from sunrise through to moonlight.
Back inside on the first floor there’s a bathroom and a beautifully styled bedroom. While on the ground floor, the pared back, restful design flows to the second bedroom and bathroom. A second deck off the bedroom allows for extra dining and living space while also delivering outstanding views. And for your indulgence, there’s a sauna and an ice bath.
Whether you make an early start or leave it until late in the day, the beauty of Wategos Beach is only a couple of hundred metres’ away, plus cafes and restaurants are a short stroll. Get closer to nature and make your way to the iconic Byron Bay Lighthouse and take in the breathtaking scenery along the Cape Byron Walking Track. The Byron Bay town centre is only a ten-minute drive but if you’re feeling adventurous, it’s a 40-minute scenic walk. There’s also picture-perfect scenery and delicious local produce on offer in the nearby hinterland and coastal villages.
BYRON SHIRE NOISE RESTRICTIONS
All of our houses have firm no party policies with no additional guests allowed to visit the house at any time. Sound travels to the neighbours easily and as such, noise levels are to be respectful at all times of the day and no music or outdoor entertaining whatsoever after 10pm.
Receiving a noise complaint will result in a bond deduction if Quiet Hotline Security are called to the house and they deem the noise levels from the street disruptive to the neighbourhood. These fines from the local Quiet Hotline Security can occur at any time from 6pm – 6am and are $165 each time plus a $55 invoice processing fee. Multiple noise complaints may result in being asked to vacate immediately with no refund of remaining tariff or bond.
Sorry to be so strict but noise levels are a serious issue in the Byron Shire and keeping our neighbours happy is of paramount importance.
