Jackson St Kilda is a beautifully restored historic home dating back to 1846 and recognised as St Kilda’s oldest house. Designed by architect Samuel Jackson, this Gothic Revival home keeps many of its original features, including soaring ceilings, Baltic pine floors, Tudor details, leadlight windows and an impressive original fireplace. It’s a characterful base for guests staying 30 days or more, with the space to settle in rather than just pass through.
Historic charm sits alongside modern comfort. The beautifully appointed kitchen has quality appliances, and there’s a separate dining room and generous living space for shared meals and quiet evenings. Outside, a sunny alfresco area and outdoor kitchen make it easy to cook, eat and relax in the fresh air.
Upstairs are four bedrooms, with an additional double sofa bed downstairs for flexible sleeping arrangements. That suits families, friends or colleagues sharing a home over a longer stay.
The location is in the heart of St Kilda, a short stroll from the cafés, restaurants, bars and shops of Acland Street. St Kilda Beach, Luna Park, trams and public transport are all close by, and the CBD and Melbourne’s many attractions are easy to reach.
